C-CDA Quick Reference Guide
Soumya Jayaraj, UTHealth Houston, School of Biomedical Informatics Graduate

Complexities of C-CDA standards have led to confusion resulting with electronic health records (EHRs) being less than optimal. For medical data to be useful it needs to be turned into meaningful information with seamless communication (interoperability) between information technology (IT) systems.  Structured health data exchange is supported by Health Level Seven (HL7) International with Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA).  The C-CDA Quick Reference Guide consolidates the connecting elements to assist individuals with standardization supporting interoperability.  Please feel free to use in your efforts to optimize your EHR.
