Texas Health Services Authority (THSA)

The Texas Health Services Authority (the Authority) was formed under Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 182. The mission of the Texas Health Services Authority (THSA) is to promote and coordinate the development of a seamless electronic health information infrastructure to improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of the Texas health care sector, while protecting individual privacy. The Authority accomplishes this mission through its state-level health information exchange (HIE) and privacy and security certification and supporting programs. See below for more information.
