• With the recent additions of CHI St. Luke’s Health and St. Joseph Medical Center, Greater Houston Healthconnect has reached 50 percent market share of total beds in the 20 county service area of Southeast Texas. Virtually all major hospitals and large group practices are live in the Beaumont-Port Arthur area. Ambulatory users there report high levels of satisfaction, particularly when caring for patients following a hospitalization or ER visit. Engagement of providers around image sharing has been very active and is expected to grow rapidly in the coming year.
  • Among its many onboarding and utilization efforts, Healthcare Access San Antonio (HASA) launched its first Single Sign On project with Methodist Healthcare Systems in April that has been very well received. By using a viewer straight from their Meditech system, they have streamlined the process, which increased utilization from approximately 20 active users per month to over 350. Additionally, the June launch of HASA Alerts will allow physicians, with or without an interface to HASA, to receive real-time alerts when their patients seek treatment in any one of the hospital systems participating with HASA. This will allow more timely follow up and transitions of care, which will assist both with improved patient care and better reimbursement with some payers.
